Why this exists

I got tired of being lied to by the news. Not the made-up kind. The sneaky kind, where nobody says anything false but they leave out the one part that's actually about your life. You read "best economy in years," then you can't make rent, and you start to wonder if it's you.

It's usually not you. It's the part they left out.

What it is

A guy who actually read the report, sitting on the next stool, telling you what it really says. No spin. No hot takes. Nothing to sell you. When the headline and the numbers don't line up, that gap is the whole story, and I'll walk you to it and show you the links so you can check me yourself.

What I hold to

• Every fact comes from the source, and I link it. Don't take my word for anything.
• When I don't know, I say so. Anybody handing you a clean, confident number is usually selling something.
• No rage, no doom, no agenda. I've got a family, a job, and not a lot of patience for nonsense. Same as you, probably.

Who

A husband, a father, a son. A guy who works too much, loves his people, and likes a drink and a real conversation. The name can wait. What matters is the receipts, and those are always on the bar.

The conversations here are real. The names aren't, I leave those at the door. The drinks are off the menu.
